Sunday planning in Lancaster County takes a little extra care, many Amish and Mennonite owned businesses close for the day, but plenty of attractions, restaurants, and shops stay open and ready for visitors.
Sleep in a real caboose and dine in a train car at the Red Caboose Motel at Paradise Station, then ride the rails yourself aboard Strasburg Rail Road. Dutch Wonderland, Choo Choo Barn, and the North Museum all welcome Sunday visitors, along with Wilbur Chocolate’s Lititz shop and Turkey Hill Experience for free ice cream samples. Dinner theaters like Dutch Apple keep the entertainment going with Sunday matinees, and Amish Village and Amish Farm and House both run Sunday tours through the countryside.
Shoppers can browse Kindred Collections’ 100+ local artists and vintage vendors, while thrill seekers have Laserdome, escape rooms, and Refreshing Mountain’s outdoor adventures all open. For dinner, Miller’s Smorgasbord and Casey Jones’ Restaurant both welcome Sunday diners.
