The Lititz Fire & Ice Celebration returns this year – and for ten days!
Why Lititz?
Lititz, Pennsylvania, is a small town with a big agenda of community events that take place throughout the year. In general, there’s so much stuff to do in Lititz: restaurants, shopping, lodging, and more. Besides, Lititz is just a cool town!
The first of the annual Lititz community events is the Fire and Ice Festival.
What is the Fire & Ice Festival?
Fire & Ice is an annual free community event that takes place every February in Lititz, usually following Valentine’s Day/Presidents’ Weekend. This 10-day long celebration takes place throughout downtown Lititz along Main and Broad Streets and in Lititz Springs Park. Many local shops and restaurants participate. Ice sculptures, block party, kids carnival, chili cook-off, ball, corn hole tournament, and entertainment. An estimated 40,000 turned out in previous years, and that was for the three to four day event. This year is ten days.
This annual event began in 2006. In recent years it has attracted an estimated 40,000 people out for the festivities, and that was when the event was three to four days long. Now it will last for ten days!
