The 2018 Edition of the Lititz Fire & Ice Festival

Lititz, Pennsylvania, is a small town with a big agenda of community events that take place throughout the year. In general, there’s so much stuff to do in Lititz: restaurantsshopping, lodging, and more. The first of the annual community events is the Fire and Ice Festival. In 2018, this free* event takes place February 16 – 19, 2018. *Note that the Chili Cook-off on Saturday does have a fee (more on that below).

Friday night, the event kicks off with the ice carving and live music in downtown Lititz. Saturday is the annual Chili Cook-off and other events at Warwick High School. During all four days of the event, you can tour the streets and the park to see these amazing ice sculptures.

2018 will be the 13th year for this event. Last year, an estimated 40,000 turned out for the festivities.

Friday Festivities (February 16th, 2018)

  • Friday Night Block Party
  • Ice sculpting

5:00-9:00pm: Ice carving on the square. There will be ice sculptures all over Broad Street, Main Street, and in Lititz Springs Park.

The downtown streets will be closed to traffic for the Friday Night Block Party, which will include live music on a stage at Broad and Main Streets. Retailers will be open late, restaurants and pubs will be open, and food trucks will be available. It should be a fun night!

Saturday (February 17th, 2018)

Saturday morning, you can stroll around town to see all the ice sculptures. Then, head over to Warwick High School (301 West Orange St, Lititz, PA 17543) for the Chili Cook-off, the Kids Carnival, and the Vendor Fair from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Chili Cook-off: Sample chili from 20 different chefs. The event supports the local charities that participate in the cook-off. There is an admission fee for the Chili Cook-off ($10 for adults and $5 for children under 12, if they want to try the chili). This event is limited to 1,500 people. Admission buttons can be purchased at the door if the event is not already sold out.

Kids Carnival: Takes place from 11:00am-3:00pm inside Warwick High School. Admission is free for the activities, which will include inflatables, games, contests, face painting, and coloring and craft stations.

The Vendor Fair will likewise be from 11:00am-3:00pm at the high school. Local businesses will be showing their products and services.

Sunday and Monday (February 18th and 19th, 2018)

You are invited to walk around downtown Lititz to enjoy the town and see the many ice sculptures.
