Start at Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery, founded in 1861 as America’s first commercial pretzel bakery, where you can twist your own soft pretzel using the same methods the Sturgis family has used for generations. Down the street, Wilbur Chocolate’s historic shop sells chocolate specialties and the iconic Wilbur Buds, while Candyology brings retro candy and over 120 sodas straight out of your childhood memories. Every October, the town’s Chocolate Walk sends visitors door to door through roughly 30 downtown merchants for chocolate treats.
Beyond sweets, Wolf Sanctuary of PA offers guided tours and a lifelong safe haven for displaced wolves, and Refreshing Mountain, just 10 miles out, adds ziplines, escape rooms, and cabin rentals to the mix. Every February, the Lititz Fire & Ice Festival draws an estimated 40,000 visitors downtown for ice sculptures and a chili cook-off, and Second Saturdays bring live music and over 50 shops and restaurants to the streets year-round.

This rail trail begins along Shaeffer Aly in downtown Ephrata, and heads southwest out of Ephrata to join with the Conestoga Trail at Millway Road. It runs north as part of the Conestoga Trail until it breaks off on its own at Picnic Woods Road (near Millway Road), just west of Akron. From there it continues across Newport Road and Clay Road and ends at N. Oak Street in Lititz. The Lititz-Warwick Trailway runs off this trail. See Map Here
