Oct 1 – An Evening with Diamond Rio and Restless Heart American Music Theatre2425 Lincoln Highway East Lancaster, PA 17602, 800-648-4102, 717-397-7700. Legendary country group Diamond Rio recently celebrated its milestone 20th anniversary as a Grand Ole Opry member. 

Oct 2 – Scooby-Doo! And The Lost City of Gold American Music Theatre2425 Lincoln Highway East Lancaster, PA 17602, 800-648-4102, 717-397-7700. The show will be presented in large scale theaters and will be the first of its kind to combine cutting edge technology with exceptional music, puppetry, magic, singing, dance, interactive audience response video, aerial arts, and video mapping. 

Oct 3 – The Junk Rock Drums at Cherry CrestCherry Crest Adventure Farm – Fun on the Farm, 150 Cherry Hill Road, Ronks, PA 17572, 866-546-1799.  These musicians bring trashcans, pipes, metal signs, and all kinds of other noisemakers to produce a high energy drum beat that you won’t want to miss!

Oct 3 – Charley Pride American Music Theatre2425 Lincoln Highway East Lancaster, PA 17602, 800-648-4102, 717-397-7700. “All I Have to Offer You is Me,” “Kiss an Angel Good Morning,” “I’m Just Me,” “Then Who Am I,” “Honky Tonk Blues,” and “Night Games.”  Those are just a few of the wonderful songs sung by Grand Ole Opry member and Grammy Award-winning country artist, Charley Pride.  

Oct 4 – Louie Anderson and Rita Rudner American Music Theatre2425 Lincoln Highway East Lancaster, PA 17602, 800-648-4102, 717-397-7700. Sharing the ups and downs of his childhood experiences as one of 11 children, iconic comedian Louie Anderson is one of the country’s most recognized and adored comics.”  Rita Rudner moved to New York at the age of 15 to dance on Broadway.  It was there that she began exploring the comedy clubs of Manhattan.  

Oct 6 – The Texas Tenors American Music Theatre2425 Lincoln Highway East Lancaster, PA 17602, 800-648-4102, 717-397-7700. Since appearing on America’s Got Talent in 2009, The Texas Tenors have accumulated a long list of awards and accolades, including three Emmy Awards. 

Oct 7 – Night at the MuseumAACA Museum, 161 Museum Drive, Hershey, PA 17033, 717-566-7100. Plans for “Night at the Museum” are in process. The details are yet to be determined.

Handpicked for their uniqueness, these businesses are “Best Kept Secrets”.

Oct 9 – Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder American Music Theatre2425 Lincoln Highway East Lancaster, PA 17602, 800-648-4102, 717-397-7700. Ricky Skaggs struck his first chords on a mandolin over 50 years ago, and this 15-time Grammy Award winner continues to do his part to lead the recent roots revival in music.

Oct 9 – 10 – A Time of Harvest Rough and Tumble Engineers Historical Assoc., 4977 Lincoln Hwy. East (Route 30), Kinzers, PA 17535, 717-442-4249.  Special events will be held for children on Saturday including the Pedal Tractor Pull, Harvest Rides, Candy Corn Ring Toss, Pumpkin Bowling & other games and events for children including Pumpkin Face Painting and a Barrel Train Ride. 

Oct 10 – The DKers at Cherry CrestCherry Crest Adventure Farm – Fun on the Farm, 150 Cherry Hill Road, Ronks, PA 17572, 866-546-1799. Don’t miss this juggling variety show by DKers, a juggling duo made up of Lancaster natives Darren Horst and Kevin McCulley!

Oct 10 – Pink Party Kitchen Kettle Village, 3529 Old Philadelphia Pike (Rt. 340), Intercourse, PA 17534, 800-732-3538.  This year marks our 5th annual Pink Party at Kitchen Kettle Village. Select stores in the Village will be raising money and awareness for Breast Cancer research, and those affected by breast cancer. We are celebrating all the people touched by breast cancer, not just the patients, but also their families.

Oct 11 – The Temptations and The Four Tops American Music Theatre2425 Lincoln Highway East Lancaster, PA 17602, 800-648-4102, 717-397-7700. Thanks to their fine-tuned choreography, and even finer harmonies, The Temptations became one of the most successful acts to record for Motown Records. The Four Tops teamed up in high school and spent over four decades without a single personnel change to become one of Motown’s most consistent hitmakers.

Secure your place trackside for the “Return of the Plymouth” as she returns to Strasburg Rail Road’s mainline for this first-ever photo event. This event presented by Michelin features a dinner inside the Museum and a program with featured speaker Doug Fehan who will be accompanied by special guests to discuss everything from the 2020 Racing season to the progression of the C8.R.

Oct 31 – Nick Disanto, One Man Band at Cherry CrestCherry Crest Adventure Farm – Fun on the Farm, 150 Cherry Hill Road, Ronks, PA 17572, 866-546-1799. Nick DiSanto is a musician and sculptor from Lancaster, PA. He travels around the world with his guitar and a multi-functional contrivance known as the “DiSantomophone,” performing his one-man show wherever people will gather listen! Don’t miss his debut on the Discovery Barn Stage this fall!
