Come tour the 1828 Federal style mansion that was home to James Buchanan, 15th president of the United States.

Buchanan served as president from 1857-1861, right before Abraham Lincoln and the beginning of the Civil War.

After leaving the White House he lived here at Wheatland until his death in 1868.

At Wheatland, costumed guides take visitors on a tour of his mansion, describing his life and times.
