2017 Labor Day Events Schedule for Lancaster, PA

August 29 – September 4

  •  Allentown Fair– Allentown Fair Grounds – 302 N 17th Street, Allentown, PA 18104.  The Lehigh County Agricultural Society is the nonprofit owner and operator of The Allentown Fairgrounds and The Great Allentown Fair. The Fair is the fulfillment of the Society’s mission as stated in its bylaws.

September 1

  • GLOW Zone at Sky Zone – Sky Zone Lancaster – 1701 Hempstead Road Lancaster, PA 17601.  We’re different after dark! Every Friday Night join us for Glow Zone! Black Lights! Live DJ!  Just $25! Free Glow shirt included! Two 2-hour Glow Jump sessions: 7-9pm and 9:30-11:30pm
  • First Friday in Lancaster City – City of Lancaster – 120 North Duke Street, Lancaster, PA 17608.  Downtown Lancaster springs to life from 5 to 9 pm the First Friday of each month. Art galleries, studios, museums, restaurants, shops, and attractions in downtown Lancaster stay open late while people from all over head downtown to enjoy the festive atmosphere, dining, art, and entertainment.
  • First Friday at Mt. Gretna – Downtown Mt. Gretna – Mt. Gretna, PA.  First Friday of every month, starts at 5:00pm. Enjoy an evening filled with Art, music and dining. Area businesses will be open featuring a guest artist each month.

September 1 – 3

  • Art & Craft Festival – Long’s Park – Route 30 & Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.  Experience one of America’s top 50 fine art and craft shows! For three days shop and enjoy breathtaking creativity in a beautiful city park transformed into an outdoor gallery, just on the edge of historic downtown Lancaster.

September 2

  • Murder Mystery Dinner Train Strasburg Rail Road – 301 Gap Road Ronks, PA 17572.  Act 1 Productions returns to the Strasburg Rail Road to bring you their popular humor, entertainment and unique style for dinner a board a steam train! Please plan to arrive no later than the boarding time in order to enjoy the full experience and to avoid missing any clues. 
  • Hospice Labor Day AuctionSolanco Fairgrounds101 Park Avenue Quarryville, PA 17566. The Hospice Labor Day Auction is a weekend filled with Amish food, vintage finds, raffles and thousands of auction items. This family-friendly and free event is a staple for many who look forward to it every year.

  • Thru September 2 – Half-Stitched – Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant & Stage – 2760 Old Philadelphia Pike Bird-in-Hand, PA 17505.   Cultures collide and personalities conflict when six loose threads and an Amish widow spend a weekend together learning a little about quilts, and a lot about themselves.
  • Thru September 4 – “This Is My Country” Patriotic Magic Lantern Show – Amish Experience – 3121 Old Philadelphia Pike
    Bird in Hand, PA 17505.  Travel back to the early days of America and joyfully share our Nation’s history in story, laughter, and song. 
  • Thru October 7 – Vegas Legends – American Music Theatre – 2425 Lincoln Highway East Lancaster, PA 17602.  In Vegas Legends, American Music Theatre captures the excitement and energy of Las Vegas, while celebrating the sweet refrains made famous by yesterday’s and today’s legendary musicians like Elvis Presley, Wayne Newton, Paul Anka, Tom Jones, Celine Dion, Donny & Marie, Garth Brooks, and more. 
  • Thru October 28 – Mennonite Girls Can Cook – Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant & Stage – 2760 Old Philadelphia Pike Bird-in-Hand, PA 17505.  A Musical Comedy that Really Sizzles! Watch the excitement, confusion, and just plain frantic fun that erupts when a small town cable cooking show, hosted by two Mennonite women, attracts the attention of a big shot Hollywood producer. 
  • Thru October 31 – Quilt Corn Maze – The Amish Farm and House – 2395 Covered Bridge Drive, Lancaster, PA 17602.   Visit the Amish Farm and House, and try our 2.5 acre corn maze, included in your admission! The maze is laid out in a quilt pattern, and kids of all ages with love finding their way through.  
  • Thru October 31 – Jonah – Sight & Sound Theatre – 300 Hartman Bridge Road Strasburg, PA 17579.  Take your family deep into this Bible classic as it springs to life on stage in jaw-dropping scale by a world-class cast, spectacular special effects and live animals – on stage and in the aisles. This is not your average fish tale!
  • Thru December 30 – The Magic & Wonder Show – Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant & Stage – 2760 Old Philadelphia Pike Bird-in-Hand, PA 17505.  A Breathtaking Experience for All Ages Experience a theatrical event for the entire family, starring Illusionist Brett A. Myers. All ages will enjoy new grand illusions, as well as some fan favorites, plus live animals and comedy.
