Join the fun by supporting community organizations that serve Lancaster County and beyond. On the official ExtraGive website, you can search for participating organizations. And through the support of event sponsors, individual contributions can be matched by additional contributions. There are hundreds of organizations participating in ExtraGive.Before You Give… Important Changes to the ExtraGive Program
Many local organizations have been abundantly blessed by the ExtraGive program over the years. However, since 2022 numerous local Christian ministries and organizations have stopped participating because the Lancaster County Community Foundation (LCCF) now requires participants to submit copies of their Non-Discrimination Policies. Many reputable local ministries feel this overreach by the LCCF promotes conformity to a certain ideology while compromising their Biblical doctrine and their freedom of religion. See the article “Christian Schools Pull Out of ExtraGive Over Non-Discrimination Policy” published by The Lancaster Patriot on Sept 22, 2022. This article explains how the LCCF seems to be opposing Christian and faith-based organizations in favor of pro-LGBTQ policies. Some of the organizations listed below are no longer participating in ExtraGive. They are standing up for righteousness in the face of this cancel culture, knowing that their stand may cost them contributions they might have received if they had continued in ExtraGive. They are standing up for principle and trusting that God will provide their needed support. In October 2023 a new online giving platform was started to specifically help support Christian ministries and organizations – FaithfulGive – “Connecting Generous Givers with Kingdom Causes”. We urge you to look at the good work these organizations and ministries do to help our community. Please consider financially supporting them any way you can.How You Can Support These Organizations
