Our Mission: To fulfill God’s greatest commandment to love Him and love others. To lead and support those willing to step forward into exploration and understanding of who God is and who they are. To guide those that engage in this mission through a journey of discovery toward God’s divine purpose of reproducing His image throughout the world.
Our Vision: To shift the narrative of the church of Jesus Christ, away from world-rules and a self-centered existence, to bringing Kingdom-rules into the everyday lives of God’s children and all those seeking a deeper walk with Him.
Why: Six years after beginning what he assumed would be a relatively typical research process that sought to better understand how God transforms people’s lives, George Barna discovered that he had tackled a deeply challenging and amazingly revealing journey. Using both quantitative and qualitative research methods, including more than 15,000 telephone surveys, Barna distilled his findings and conclusions. He explored “stops” along the way. 10 of them. The single most challenging stop is what Barna identified as “stop 7, which is that of brokenness.” The research indicated that in order to move closer to the completion of this transformational journey, a person must be broken of three things: sin, self, and society. America’s culture serves as a strong barrier to people being willing to completely abandon themselves and the world in favor of listening to, obeying and enjoying God.
What: At Embracing Brokenness Ministries we’ve been commissioned to bring the message of healing to a broken world. To authentically bear witness to what God has done in our individual lives as an encouragement to believers who seek to learn more about what they were created for and more about the God who did the creating. To guide others to progress past “stop 5”, where most believers get stifled. For believers to experience true intimacy with God. The way He always intended. For unbelievers to consider another way. A way that they may not have been exposed to in the past, focused entirely on the love of Christ.
The challenge is to embrace the broken places in ourselves. The wounded and traumatized places where life-altering experiences occurred. Perhaps through the influence of others or through our own choices. Healing from those wounds comes only through a posture of intimacy with God. One that allows Jesus to step into those hurts and re-interpret life from His vantage point, calling out our true identity as Child of God.
Who: Our desire is to walk alongside each person in our sphere of influence but predominantly —the least, the last, and the left out. Those individuals with limited or no resources that would enable them to go deeper into the journey toward freedom in Christ. Our primary focus is to work with those experiencing homelessness and those incarcerated in prison.
How: We accomplish this by supporting the needs of others directly through teaching, writing, speaking, resourcing them inside and outside of the ministry, and providing practical tools that encourage a more intimate relationship with Christ. One that delves deeper into the brokenness experienced in this life and how the deepest longing of our souls as humans can be met in a loving God who wants to walk and talk with us as He intended from the beginning. We deliver Gods message in-person, on our website, blog, and other social media outlets including our YouTube Channel.
