Strasburg Rail Road Day Out with Thomas Event

Spend the afternoon with Americas beloved little blue engine, Thomas the Tank Engine™. The iconic character is chugging into Strasburg Rail Road for the last time this year. Strasburg Rail Road’s Day Out with Thomas event offers a fun-filled adventure for the entire family. This family-favorite attraction welcomes people of all ages to come together and experience the classic friends in person.

The Day Out with Thomas at Strasburg Rail Road includes a 20-minute train ride with Thomas to Paradise, PA and back. You can say hello and capture timeless memories with Thomas and his pal, Percy during the event. Strasburg Rail Road is the only tourist railroad in Pennsylvania to feature Percy and offer the opportunity to ride with Percy. (Other locations who feature Percy include stations in California, Minnesota, and North Carolina.)

Enjoy a variety of Thomas-themed Fun Extras at the Imagination Station, where your kids can experience tons of activities like temporary tattoos, storytelling, train tables, music, videos, and more. Go for a ride on our miniature steam engine, the Pint-Sized Pufferbelly or let your little one hand crank the Cranky Cars. Your family can even meet the famous, Sir Topham Hatt™, the Chairman of the Railway on the Island of Sodor.  You can recognize him by his iconic morning suit with a yellow vest and a black top hat, waiting to greet you and take a picture with your family. Strasburg Rail Road also offers a complete selection of Thomas the Train merchandise including Thomas clothing, games, and other keepsakes.

Join us for a Day Out with Thomas. We hope to see you and your family there. Learn more about Strasburg Rail Road’s Day Out with Thomas Event or reserve your ticket here.
