Holiday Shopping Can Be More Than A Mouse Click!

Posted in Happenings on by .

For me, holiday shopping had become a monotonous search on the internet followed by the click of a mouse and then waiting for the boxes to arrive to get wrapped.  Not only was I missing the excitement of finding that perfect handmade gift or the delight in seeing the twinkling, creative displays in the little mom and pop shops, I was also not supporting my local economy by spending my dollars online.  NO MORE!!!!  I am bringing the joy back into holiday shopping by participating in Lancaster County’s Twelve Shops of Christmas Tour, November 29 thru December 8, 2018.  This unique shopping adventure features 12 wonderfully festive, off-the-beaten-path shops and 2 local, favorite cafes.  It is set up like a home or garden tour so I get to travel, in my own vehicle and enjoy the amazing holiday decorations, unusual gift ideas, valuable coupons, door prizes, games, gifts, refreshments and Christmas spirit each business has planned.

All types of places are featured on the tour:  a succulents farm, a woodshop, a soap maker, a bus full of fashion, an historic Inn with a tasting room, a restored home full of unusual gifts & home décor, a barn filled with locally created crafts & art, a potter’s studio, a clothing & jewelry boutique, unusual home, garden & gift shops and more! There is something for everyone!

Plus, my participation in the tour also gives back— $1 per ticket sold will be donated to Ephrata Area Social Services.  What a jolly way to shop!  If you’d like tickets ($10 ea) call Melissa @ 717-721-9409 or email:  melissa@bestkeptsecretstour.com
