Vacations are postponed. Bus trips are rescheduled and crowded events are canceled. Got the Covid Blues? Don’t despair! The Lancaster County’s Best Kept Secrets Tour is a fantastic way to find some normal!
Because the Tour features 40 spots and gives you 16 days to visit them, crowds are not an issue. Mask use, extra sanitizing, and limiting amounts of shoppers are a few of the safety measures noted businesses will have in place.
The Spring 2021 tour runs from April 8 through April 24. The shopping/food and fun adventure features 40 fantastic, hand-picked, diverse businesses located throughout Lancaster County. There really is something for everyone . . . handmade global and local crafts, unusual gifts, home décor & furniture and artisan wares housed in restored barns, historic house and interesting buildings, local bakeries, garden centers blooming with spring flowers, and a one-of-a-kind POP-UP shop. Plus enjoy local eateries & creameries, a local distillery, fashions & jewelry boutiques, interior design studios, consignment and thrift boutiques, shops with gourmet foods & meats, antiques, vintage, upcycled & collectible treasures, a goat dairy farm, a few specialty shops and more!! The businesses are small and owned by extremely talented people–truly the backbone of our economy. They are excited to share their knowledge and talents. A visit with them is an experience rather than just an anonymous shopping trip.
To further the Best Kept Secrets Tour’s goal of supporting the community, $1 per ticket purchased will be donated to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. So not only does your participation support hard-hit small businesses, it also helps a local non-profit and hopefully gives you a great day or two out with friends and family. Who knew shopping could be so important?
