Don’t miss Oregon Dairy’s Family Farm Days if you can. This three-day event, which takes place every June, gives families an enjoyable and educational introduction to the value of farming! Take part in FREE events, get free samples of Oregon Dairy’s milk and ice cream, and much more. A day for the PA Product Maker’s Market is also included in our Family Farm Days! Including a number of regional PA vendors!

Oregon Dairy History & Timeline

Follow the history of Mom and Pop Hurst and their dream of serving their neighbors and friends.

1952 – Mr. and Mrs. Earl D. Hurst purchased a property with the goal of selling fresh farm items to their neighbors and friends
1974 – Mom and Pop Hurst opened and ran a small dairy business where they offered fresh fruit, eggs, and milk
1979 – The Hurst Family finished their new store
1986 – Cafeteria was added
1988 – Store was enlarged
1993 – Cafeteria was changed into a family restaurant

Oregon Dairy is dedicated to investigating and applying every renewable energy source that helps with sustainability and going green.

The Power of Poop – Oregon Dairy has been producing their own electricity from cow manure for over 30 years.
Oregon Dairy Solar Farm – Installed a solar system which was officially turned on and generating power as of March 31, 2011.
Recycling Cardboard – In 2022 The Market at Oregon Dairy recycled 496 cardboard bales weighing in at over 223.2 tons of cardboard
Recycling Plastic Bags – In 2022 The Market at Oregon Dairy recycled 936 plastic bundles weighing in at over 4.68 tons of plastic
