About The Ware Center
“Lancaster County’s Home for the Cultural Arts!” The Ware Center is Lancaster’s premier performing arts center and the home of The Arts at Millersville University, which fosters creativity, learning, and understanding in the vibrant Lancaster County community.
Since 2011, the Ware Center has become a thriving community hub, home to diverse cultural and artistic experiences unmatched in the region. Throughout the year, the Ware Center hosts a rich variety of classical, jazz, and contemporary music concerts, live theater, dance, lectures, films, and art exhibitions.
The Arts at Millersville presents four series each year: the Performing Arts Series, featuring exceptional performing artists from all over the globe; Family Fun Fests, bringing immersive entertainment and enriching cultural activities to the whole family; On Screen/In Person, offering thought-provoking documentary showings and live discussions with filmmakers; and We The People First Friday, highlighting diverse local artists during Lancaster City’s monthly celebration of art and culture.
The Ware Center is conveniently located on Prince Street in Lancaster, just a block away from Penn Square and Central Market, and steps from the famed Gallery Row. Parking can be found across Prince Street in a surface parking lot, or just down the street in the Prince Street Garage. Learn more and plan your visit.
Our Facility
Our Facility The Ware Center is one of the last buildings designed by world-renowned architect Philip Johnson, and its Steinman Concert Hall features state-of-the-art sound designed by acoustical engineering legend Cyril M. Harris. In addition, the Ware Center boasts two other stunning performing arts spaces, the Owen Grand Salon and the Atrium, that host more intimate events. The Regitz Gallery, located on the mezzanine level, is home to exhibits by local and regional artists that rotate monthly.
