Lititz, PA Wins National Voting – Beats 14 Other Towns
Well, it’s official. As the national public voting finished, Lititz, Pennsylvania was voted the “Coolest Small Town in America” for 2013.
Needless to say, Lititz residents, fans, and all of Lancaster County were excited to learn the results. But then, we all new Lititz was the coolest anyway, so it really wasn’t that much of a surprise!
Lititz was one of 15 American towns in the voting for this title. The contest was sponsored by BudgetTravel.com.
Initially 924 towns were nominated. Then the competition was narrowed to the top 15 towns, and nationwide voting began. When the voting ended, Lititz received the top honors after outpolling Watkins Glen, New York and the other 13 finalists. (Get the details from our earlier post about the Coolest Small Town contest.)
In 2012, the voting ended in a tie between Beaufort, North Carolina and Hammondsport, New York for the top honors.
