Cheers to ten years! On Saturday, May 12th, beer fans will pour onto the grounds of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire to celebrate a decade Brewfest at Mount Hope with unlimited beer sampling, free foods and live music.
The festival is separated into two sessions, scheduled from 11 AM to 3 PM and 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Guests can explore a variety of beers styles with the opportunity to sample over 150 beers ranging from lagers to pilsners, porters to stouts, fruit beers to wheat beers and more produced by PA favorites and breweries from both coasts. Admission to Brewfest includes a logoed sampling glass, sponsored by The River 97.3, BrewFest’s Official Media Sponsor.
To complement the on-going beer sampling, BrewFest visitors can enjoy a variety of free all-you-can-eat foods from booths scattered throughout the site. Food items will include Mac n Cheese, Perogies, Chicken Nachos, Pork Sandwiches and more. Free water and soda are also available. Four stages brimming with live music will create the soundtrack to the event. BrewFest visitors can shop with vendors offering merchandise from t-shirts and home brewing kits to jerky and hot sauces. Dragon’s Breath Glassworks, the Faire site’s resident glassblower, will provide demonstrations throughout the day.
Each year, BrewFest holds a raffle during each session to benefit the Central PA Food Bank. Participating breweries, vendors and local businesses donate items to the raffle. The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank distributes more than 22 million pounds of food and grocery products every year to more than 650 soup kitchens, shelters, and food pantries in 27 central Pennsylvania counties.
Pick-up, drop-off parking lots will be available to alleviate traffic congestion at the beginning and ending of each session and assist guests with their transportation needs. A map of the designated area will be posted to the website prior to the event and the parking crew will direct drivers to these areas.
BrewFest at Mount Hope takes place Saturday, May 12, 2018 with sessions from 11 AM to 3 PM and 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Tickets are limited. Advance tickets are $50 in advance, or $55 at the gate. Event details and advance tickets are available at PaRenFaire.com.
