Record-Setting Crowd Attends U.S. Women’s Open in Lancaster
A record-setting crown of 135,000 spectators turned out in Lancaster, PA, to watch the 2015 U.S. Women’s Open Championship. And they weren’t disappointed.
Lancaster Country Club hosted the 70th U.S. Women’s Open. South Korean In Gee Chun shot a final round 66 to beat Amy Yang (also from South Korea) who had started both Saturday’s round and today’s with a three-shot lead. American Stacy Lewis tied for third place.
Lancaster Country Club was hailed as a great location for this year’s championship tournament. After the success of this event, look for future tournaments to return to this venue.
