Discover the Ice Cream Making Process First-Hand

At Turkey Hill Experience visitors walk through interactive exhibits that depict the ice cream making process. Then become an ice cream maker for a day and create your own ice cream flavor!

This is not a guided tour of a working factory, but a series of fun, hands-on, interactive exhibits where you and your family can explore the ice cream making process at your own pace. Visitors learn how ice cream and iced tea flavors are made in an enjoyable way. Youngsters can milk a mechanical cow and participate in the fun, hands-on exhibits. Plus, there are play opportunities designed just for kids.

And there are plenty of free samples of ice cream and iced tea to taste.

All exhibits and restrooms are wheelchair accessible.

Kids Can Create Their Own Ice Cream Flavor

At Turkey Hill Experience you can create your own ice cream flavor. You’ll follow the same steps Turkey Hill takes in their factory to try out new ice cream flavors.

You will start with vanilla ice cream, then add the flavoring you choose (and as much as you want) along with a variety of ingredients. And now you’ve created your very own ice cream flavor!

In the Turkey Hill Taste Lab, you can bring your new ice cream flavor to life and see how it tastes. Top it off with your favorite syrup and sample the results!

NOTE: A separate admission will be needed for the Taste Lab. Since seating in the Lab is limited, reservations are required.

Star in Your Own TV Commercial

After you have created your own ice cream flavor and packaging, you can also star in your own TV commercial promoting your new ice cream. Then post it to Facebook to share with your friends.

Afterward, you will be able to access your Create Your Own ice cream flavor, packaging, and commercial for up to 60 days.

Turkey Hill Dairy – Imported from Lancaster County

You’ve probably seen the phrase “Imported from Lancaster County” on Turkey Hill ice cream cartons and on their delivery trucks. Turkey Hill dates back to the 1930’s, and is proud of their Lancaster County heritage and their commitment to honor and honesty.

Today, Turkey Hill is the number-four ice cream and number-one refrigerated tea brand in the United States!

Turkey Hill is committed to preserving Lancaster County’s farmlands and supporting local communities. In building Turkey Hill Experience, they converted an old silk mill building that had been vacant for over 25 years. Part of the Turkey Hill Experience exhibit shares the unique history of Turkey Hill Dairy.

Admission & Hours of Operation

A portion of the exhibits at Turkey Hill Experience is open to the public at no charge. However, there is an admission fee for the main interactive exhibit areas. They do offer a military personnel discount to both past and present members with a valid military ID. Same day tickets are available at the door.

The Turkey Hill Taste Lab is an expanded experience that often sells out. It is recommended that tickets be purchased in advance.

They also offer a combo ticket where you can save on admission to both Turkey Hill Experience and fascinating National Watch and Clock Museum, which is located just a few blocks away.
