“Never Forget” 5K and 1 mile walk and Firefighter’s Challenge

On Saturday, May 7th, 2016, the “Never Forget 5K and 1 Mile walk and Firefighter’s Challenge will occur at the Worship Center located at 2384 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601. The race has been created by the America’s 911 Foundation to remember all those that perished on 09-11-01 and the importance of First Responders. Each participant will receive a name of a person that perished on 911 to wear on them during the race so they will not be forgotten.  Registration is on Active.com or neverforget5k.org. Pre-Registration is $25.00. The race starts at 8:46 am when Flight 11 hit the North Tower in New York. The 1 mile walk starts at 9:03 am when Flight 175 hits the South Tower of the Worlds Trade Center. At 9:37, when Flight 77 hits the Pentagon, Trophies will be awarded. There will be a Fire Fighter’s Relay 1/2 mile race will full equipment which starts at 10:03 am when Flight 93 crashes in Somerset. There will be First Responders there with equipment, Fire Engines, Ambulances, Police, and the Jeffstat emergency helicopter. Food & raffles are available for purchase.
