Harvest Days – Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum

October 10 - October 11, 2020

Do you know how rope was made by hand a hundred years ago?  Have you helped make apple butter, molasses, or syrup from apple cider? Would you like to take a leisurely ride on a wagon pulled by horses through the roads of Landis Valley Museum (it’s almost like being back there in the early 1800s)?  How about seeing how the food was made (and why it tasted so good) on an open hearth fire or in a domed brick oven?

Each year’s Harvest Days family event is the culmination of a year’s worth of hard work.  It is Landis Valley’s oldest and largest family event for a reason:  It’s just plain old fun!

Dedicate a full day so you can take advantage of the hands-on demonstrations, crafts, live music, and activities, as well as horse-drawn wagon rides and a children’s discovery tent. Taste heirloom varieties of apples and watch them become apple butter and cider. Witness wool goes from sheep to shawl. Pick a pumpkin of your very own and then decorate it.  All of this and more is packed into two fun-filled days.

Food will be available for purchase on-site.  Free parking.

Tickets can be purchased at the door on the days of the event.  Online tickets will be available soon.
