Excitement is in the air at America’s oldest continuously operating railroad. Easter weekend brings a sense of renewal, from the smell of the fresh country air and spring flowers to the anticipation on the faces of little ones as they prepare for a journey they won’t soon forget.

Welcome to the Strasburg Rail Road Easter Bunny Train, a unique and memorable way to celebrate the holiday with family and friends. This train is extra special because the conductor is none other than Peter Cottontail.

As you travel, the Easter Bunny will hop from car to car spreading Easter happiness to the little ones on board. And while seeing the Easter Bunny always brings a smile, it’s the special Easter surprise that makes the little ones happy. Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture the moment or feel free to shoot a few selfies to share on Facebook and Instagram. New for the 2025 Easter event:

CANDY DROPS – Hosted by the Easter Bunny and his friends, will occur at 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, and 5:00 PM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, at a designated location along our pedestrian mall area. Children aboard the train will receive a colored wristband that will grant them access to a specifically-timed Candy Drop, which will begin 15 minutes after the train returns to the station. (Note: There is no candy drop after the 6:00 PM train; guests with 6:00 PM tickets may attend the 5:00 PM time slot.) Immediately after your train ride, head over to the candy drop area to try to collect as much Easter candy as possible!

BREAKFAST with the EASTER BUNNY – enjoy a delicious buffet-style breakfast with the Easter Bunny in Cafe 1832 before we open to the general public, followed by included tickets on the day’s first Easter Bunny train departure.
