Bill Anderson, Wilson Fairchild, and the Malpass Brothers

One of the most awarded songwriters in country music history, Grand Ole Opry member Bill Anderson is also a hugely popular singer in his own right, earning the nickname “Whispering Bill” for his gentle, airy vocal style.  This Country Music Hall of Fame member’s #1 hits include “Mama Sang a Song,” “Still,” “I Get the Fever,” and “For Loving You.”

Wilson Fairchild is a country music duo made up of Wil and Langdon Reid from the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.  They get their “entertainment chops” honestly. Wil’s dad is Harold Reid and Langdon’s dad is Don Reid of the legendary Statler Brothers. Along with recording their own music, such artists as the Statler Brothers, Ricky Skaggs and Dailey & Vincent have recorded their songs, as well.

As young boys, the Malpass Brothers soaked up the music of their granddad’s phonograph records.  Christopher earned his first talent show trophy at age 7, and Taylor was playing mandolin by the time he was ten.  Today, they promote the work and music of classic country artists they treasure while creating new music and making their own mark in the lineage of a rich American cultural heritage.
