5. Rosie’s Tavola

4. Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant & Smorgasbord (Buffet)

For over 100 years, this time-honored landmark, has hosted and fed locals and travelers alike. Bird-In-Hand Family Restaurant & Smorgasbord is a one-stop shop for “authentic Pennsylvania Dutch food” and a popular destination for your next family gathering. Nothing competes with farm-fresh ingredients from local Amish and Mennonite farmers. 3. Route 30 Diner

Home of the giant pancakes, Route 30 Diner is located 15 minutes east of Lancaster City on Route 30 East. Owners Pete and Pattis Skiadas renamed and relaunched the restaurant back in April of 2015. Serving all-day breakfast, alongside lunch and dinner, it remains a simple formula for tourists, truckers, and locals: “you arrive, and you eat.”

2. Dienner’s Country Restaurant

In the mood for authentic PA Dutch-style cooking at an affordable price? Then Dienner’s Country Restaurant might be the hidden gem you’re looking for. Located in Ronks, off the famous Lincoln Highway, Dienner’s has been serving some of Lancaster County’s favorite food since 1993. Make sure you go hungry and get there early to beat the lines.

1. Good ‘N Plenty Restaurant

Unfortunately, Good ‘N Plenty Restaurant has now closed. It was a victim of Covid.

Do you like a good farmhouse with plenty of food? Then Good ‘N Plenty Restaurant is the place for you. Founders Christ and Dolly Lapp realized their dream when they purchased the farmhouse. Since 1969, the tradition of family-style dining and traditional Pennsylvania Dutch meals continues with a smile. The couple was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Pennsylvania Dutch Convention and Visitors Bureau in 2014. From fast, friendly service to a petting zoo and playground, this is an all-out family affair.
