Great Gifts to Fill Your Stocking from Kitchen Kettle Village

Kitchen Kettle Village – like a treasure hunt during the holidays

With over 40 unique shops, restaurants and lodging you never know what cool gifts you might find. Because there are so many great gifts, I narrowed my focus to what I would like to find or plan to put in a holiday stocking from Kitchen Kettle Village this Christmas.

  1. A snowman wool felted pin from Village Quilts. The festive pin will bring cheer to your coat, sweater or hat and you can wear it all winter long.
  2. A Kling House Restaurant gift certificate, so I can grab a friend and enjoy a cozy breakfast or lunch in the original home of Kitchen Kettle’s founder, Pat Burnley. Sit by the fireplace in the dining room for a real treat, while sharing some laughs and a hot chocolate.
  3. Chocolate covered jumbo marshmallows from Pepper Lane Fudge & Sweets. These would be for my daughter’s stocking. She has always loved the chocolate covered marshmallows, but this year they look like they are on steroids with dark, milk or white chocolate, jimmies and festive sticks. They almost look too good to eat.
  4. Fun socks from Good Vibes. My favorite is the one with Jaws on them. I also love that they are unisex and come in two sizes – small feet & big feet. They will keep your feet warm all winter long while also showing your fun personality. And you can never have too many pairs of socks.
  5. Handmade pottery tree votive holder from Garnett Pottery. This pottery is hand crafted by Phil Garnett just a few miles down the road from Kitchen Kettle Village. Stephanie, Phil’s wife, mans the shop that displays their functional and beautiful pottery in a colorful selection of glazes. I would have put the large platter on my wish list but I don’t have a stocking that large!
  6. Strawberry Rhubarb Jam from the Jam & Relish Kitchen. It tastes like spring in a jar and I really need that in January, plus it reminds me that the Rhubarb Festival at Kitchen Kettle Village rolls around in mid-May and it kicks off our festival season for the year.
  7. A Sorrelli bracelet (or necklace) from the Jewelry Box. This line of jewelry is made in Kutztown, Pennsylvania and makes a statement with any outfit. The gift of Sorrelli adds a little sparkle to any girls Christmas!
  8. The Ass Blaster Hot Sauce from Aged & Cured. This is not for me, it’s for my husband who loves hot sauce. I just love the presentation – it comes in a wooden box that looks like an outhouse. I actually think I will be buying a few of these for stocking stuffers.
  9. A decorative lantern from the County Life. These lanterns come in all shapes, sizes, finishes and colors. They make beautiful centerpieces, you can add a candle, battery powered votive and/or greens for an awesome holiday table scape. The smallest size would fit in a stocking, but I recommend checking out all the sizes that they offer.

I could keep going, but I feel like the stocking is getting pretty heavy. If the thought of holiday shopping does not sound enjoyable, I invite you to Kitchen Kettle Village this holiday season. Start with breakfast at The Kling House and then start your shopping adventure. You’ll find everything from locally made items, to national brands, to homemade food and so much more. And did I mention, you’ll have fun? The Village is open Monday-Saturday from 9-5pm (the Kling House opens at 8am for breakfast). Come on a Friday night (Thanksgiving-December 22nd) when we stay open late until 9pm or on a Saturday and enjoy live music, marshmallow roasting and complimentary hot beverages to get you into the holiday spirit. Happy holidays – and remember to stay calm & shop on!
