An Image Representing Sister Act On Stage At Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre In Lancaster County, PaGet ready to “Spread the Love Around” with Sister Act at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre September 20 – November 10, 2018! Based on the hit 1992 film, this feel-good musical comedy smash will leave audiences rejoicing! Sister Act is filled with powerful gospel music, outrageous dancing and a truly moving story.

Disco diva, Deloris, is trying to make her way to the top when she falls in love with a very tough – and very married – gangster boyfriend named Curtis. When Deloris witnesses him commit a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won’t be found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with the uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community while discovering a sisterhood she’s never had before. But soon, she blows her cover and the gang is after her, but find themselves up against her new found sisterhood.

Deloris Van Cartier is an iconic role that many actresses dream to play. For Kimberly Oliver, that dream becomes a reality as she makes her Dutch Apple debut playing Deloris! She is a singer, actress, producer and lover of all things artistic and can’t wait to take on this production!

Previously at Dutch Apple, Bowen played Angela in Honkey Tonk Angels. She has an impressive list of credits including Top 40 radio hits, singing for President Bill Clinton, performing with Sheryl Crow, Reba McEntire and George Jones, Ruth Westheimer in Becoming Dr. Ruth the one-woman show, Aunt Eller in Oklahoma! and Madame Thenardier in Les Miserables.

The meek Sister Mary Robert will be played by Lititz native, Allison Fund. Fund was seen as a featured singer in the most recent Dutch Apple production of Swing! or you may have also seen her in Ring of Fire earlier this season. Some of her favorite regional credits include Eileen in I Love a Piano, Hope Harcourt in Anything Goes, Wendy in Peter Pan and Joyce in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
