We have reviewed our 2015 activity at and have found many items were of particular interest to our 1.7 million website visitors. Some of these items might be of interest to you as you look toward 2016.

What Is There To Do in Lancaster County?

That seemed to be the biggest topic of interest for 2015, because four of our ten most popular pages last year related to things to do in Lancaster. Our main Things To Do in Lancaster page was the second most active page for the year. This page shows the diversity of fun, attractions, and points of interest here. Also cracking the top ten pages were Kids’ Attractions, Amish Attractions, and Free Things To Do in Lancaster. Another popular page was Family Attractions.

Events Are Popular in Lancaster

Our popular Lancaster Events Calendar was another top ten page last year. This page lists events day-by-day all year long. You can check out any day of the year to see what is going on in and around town. Topical events pages were also popular last year, especially our Mud Sales page, our July 4th Activities page, and our Christmas in Lancaster page.

This Week in Lancaster is updated every week or two to highlight popular goings on during the current week as well as presenting upcoming events and items of interest.

The three most popular individual events for 2015 (in case you were wondering) were the Gordonville Spring Mud Sale, Joseph at Sight & Sound Theatre, and the Strasburg Spring Mud Sale. (By the way, the 2016 Mud Sale Schedule kicks off on February 27th with this year’s edition of the Strasburg Spring Sale. The Gordonville Spring Sale will be on March 11-12. And Samson will be replacing Joseph at Sight & Sound.)

Our Amish Neighbors

The Amish settlement in Lancaster County is the oldest Amish settlement in the world. It still attracts a lot of attention because of the Amish community’s firm convictions, strong faith, and family values. Our  Amish and the Plain People page was once again one of our top pages last year. Also popular was our page on Amish People and Culture.

While the Amish are known for being non-violent, our society unfortunately is not. Our pages on the 2006 Amish School Shooting and the resulting Amish Forgiveness of the shooter remain popular to this day.

Unique Shopping Opportunities at

Due to the diversity of culture in Lancaster County people can enjoy a variety of products and shopping opportunities that can’t be found in most other places. Our most popular shopping pages relate to Amish Quilts, Amish Made Furniture, and a variety of other Amish Products and Crafts. Also popular, and distinctive of Lancaster County, was our Farmers Markets page.

Dining Out in Lancaster County

Dining out is popular here and many local restaurants have developed popular followings. You’ll find a wide variety of dining options here. Our Restaurants & Dining page was very popular last year, highlighting many local restaurants. The second most popular dining page was our Smorgasbord Dining page.

Lodging in Lancaster was Also Popular

Our Hotels page was another top ten page for 2015. This page obviously highlights the variety of independent and chain hotels to be found throughout Lancaster County. Our Lodging overview page was also popular. From here area visitors can find their choice of hotels, Bed & Breakfasts, Farm Bed & Breakfasts, Vacation Rentals, and Campgrounds.

Coupons and Saving Money are Still Popular

Our main Coupons & Special Offers page was also a top ten page last year. This page offers people coupon savings on almost everything listed above – things to do, dining, shopping, and lodging. A lot of people saved a lot of money last year by using this page!

Our most popular coupons for 2015 were Bird-in-Hand Restaurant, Miller’s Smorgasbord, AmishView Inn and Suites, Aaron & Jessica’s Buggy Rides, Cherry Crest Adventure Farm, Hershey Farm Restaurant, and Tanger Outlets.

Our Local Towns Welcome You also includes a number of pages on local cities and villages, such as Lancaster City, Lititz, and Bird-in-Hand. But the most popular town page last year was our page for Intercourse, PA.
