In 1911 Amos L. Kauffman planted his first fruit trees. Today, the 3rd, 4th, & 5th generations of the Kauffman family still operate Kauffman’s Fruit Farm & Market along Rt. 340 between Bird-In-Hand and Intercourse. Kauffman’s is committed to small farm traditions and quality local sourcing.
Kauffman’s orchards produce over 135 varieties of apples, peaches, pears, plums, and cherries on 100 acres.
Their unique farm market includes a wide selection of groceries, deli, bulk foods, and fresh produce. Kauffman’s “Bird-In-Hand Brand” Orchard Products are highly regarded, including their delicious homemade apple cider, apple butter, and dried apple snitz.
