This lengthy two-span covered bridge traverses the East Branch of the Octoraro Creek on the border between Lancaster and Chester Counties. It is the longest covered bridge in Lancaster County at 204-feet and is the only two-span covered bridge still in use. The other is Herr’s Mill, which is located on private property.

The deck is made of oak planks with the traditional red paint on the outside with white color on both approaches. Elias McMellen began construction on the Pine Grove

covered bridge in 1884.
