Wolf Sanctuary of PA
Come See Wolves in Their Natural Habitat
In northern Lancaster County, surrounded by 80 acres of natural woodland, lies the Wolf Sanctuary of PA. Originally created over 30 years ago as a private rescue for displaced wolves and wolf-dogs, the sanctuary is now home to over 40 rescues who no longer have a place in the outside world.
Wolf Sanctuary of PA has grown into an educational facility offering guided tours to educate the public about wolf conservation and biology.
Guided Tours of Wolf Sanctuary of PA
The only way to see the wolves is by a guided tour. These educational tours allow guests of all ages to view the wolves in their natural environment and learn about their history and current conservation efforts. These tours are through natural trails, so wear good walking shoes and dress for the weather. Pets are not permitted on the property.
Tours are only offered at certain times, so be sure to check the tour schedule before planning your visit.
The day time public tours are offered once per day on Saturdays and Sundays (no reservation is needed) and once per day on Tuesdays and Thursdays (by reservation only). Check hours and reservation requirements here. Tours last about an hour and are open to all ages. Guides will lead guests from one pack to the next introducing you to their wolves and explaining their history and habitat. They welcome your questions.
If you or one of your family or group member have special needs, please contact them prior to your visit.
Full Moon Tours
Full Moon Tours are conducted once each month on the Saturday closest to the full moon. For the Full Moon Tour children must be at least 16 years old and have proof of age with them. These tours are self-guided educational tours and include a bonfire and live entertainment. Tour guides will be at each pack to tell you about the wolves and answer your questions.
Bring along a blanket or chair, and a flashlight. Enjoy their bonfire and atmosphere.
